Hi!  My name is Stephanie Hansen.  I currently live in Waunakee with my roommate and am a kindergarten teacher for the Sun Prairie School District.  I just celebrated my 29th birthday and felt like the last year of my twenties was the perfect time to do something new and out of my comfort zone!  I’ve done missions work in the U.S., but I’ve never gone overseas before.  It’s always something I thought sounded like fun and something I should do “someday”, but never had the courage to actually go through with it.  Last summer, a friend of mine told me about the trip to Kenya through Blackhawk and I immediately was intrigued about it.  I looked into the trip and once I learned that they were looking for teachers, I knew God was nudging me.  I have had a passion for working with kids and teaching since a young age and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.  I am so excited to work with kids and teachers in Kenya!  I pray that God will open my eyes to the world outside of my little Wisconsin bubble and use me to bless those in need.  Thanks for your prayerful and financial support!
